Despite being bordered by four of Toronto’s busiest thoroughfares, Parkwoods is known for its quiet, tree-lined residential streets and green spaces. The gently-winding streets and rolling hills along with mature trees and gardens are thanks in part to the landscaping of early developers who wished to create a sense of seclusion and also to the natural topography of the Don River Valley. Yet Parkwoods is close to major driving routes in and out of the city and offers a great selection of local amenities.

Why We Love Parkwoods
The Parks and Woods. Naturally.
Yes, it’s no surprise that Parkwoods is both a heavily-wooded and “parked” neighbourhood. Brookbanks Park is perhaps the nicest, with miles of trail snaking through the Don River Valley perfect for jogging, walking, cycling and blading. It’s also heavily used by locals for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing in the winter. There’s private, league and public tennis at Cassandra Park, home to the Parkway Valley Tennis Club. Broadlands Park has a great community centre including an outdoor swimming pool and ice rink that draw many local families.
