Maple Leaf is a neighbourhood in North York made up of two parts–the area to the west of Culford Road is known as Rustic which is a largely residential neighbourhood with high Italian, Jamaican and Ghanaian populations and the area to the east called North Park.
Maple Leaf Park and Rustic Park are the centres of recreational activity for many families who live in the Rustic community and the namesake North Park and the Queen’s Greenbelt on the North Park side offers more natural spaces. Falstaff Community Centre offers free programs. And residents have a beloved go-to spot for sweet treats on Rustic Road: The Rustic Bakery, lauded by locals as one of Toronto’s best bakeries, famous for its red velvet cupcakes.
