Okay, we have no idea if the Miller Tavern is haunted but we like to think that the ghosts of jolly old tavern owners and patrons alike are kicking around, encouraging ruffians and rogues to partake in a pint and place a bet or two.

The Miller Tavern is perhaps the most beloved historical landmark of Hoggs Hollow. It’s now an extensively-renovated steak and seafood restaurant but one with a long and shady history. Originally the York Mills Hotel in the 1860s, a pub and resting spot for horses and weary travellers, it then became the Jolly Miller tavern where it enjoyed a less than honourable history. Its coloured past includes gambling raids and infamous late-night parties.
