Best For
Investors looking for tear-down Mississauga homes for sale or executives and affluent families looking for newer build, luxury homes in a great community.
Overview
Mineola is one of the older communities in Mississauga and one of our favourite Mississauga neighbourhoods. Located in South Mississauga, many residents of Mineola enjoy an excellent location walking distance to the beauty and bustle of Port Credit and the Port Credit GO train station.
Like many neighbourhoods in Mississauga, Mineola homes for sale offer a combination of older, un-renovated but well-maintained homes and newer build, luxury mini-mansions so there’s something here to suit a range of buyer tastes and budgets.
Mineola West, close to the highly-rated public school, is where you’ll find a concentration of more expensive properties. Homes in Mineola East provide a better opportunity for young families buying their first or second property and want a great community to live in now but also a strong investment opportunity to keep their home equity growth on a strong, upward trajectory.
This is a really pretty community, one where residents often choose to stay when it comes time to upgrade their home, making the next move in their property journey within Mineola’s borders.
Why We Love Mineola
It Makes the Grade
Mineola is home to two of Mississauga’s top ranked public schools - Kenollie P.S. where teachers focus on nurturing creativity, critical thinking and problem solving amongst students and Mineola P.S. where the focus is on instilling a love of life-long learning.
It’s Got Fantastic Neighbours
Mineola Mississauga is next to two of the most popular neighbourhoods in the city – Lorne Park and Port Credit – that are draws for very different reasons.
Lorne Park is arguably the most exclusive neighbourhood in Mississauga with its own take on a gated community, Lorne Park Estates. But few buyers can afford one of the multi-million dollar Lorne Park homes that the area is known for. Really nice, family-sized Mineola homes can be found often for hundreds of thousands less than comparable homes of their affluent neighbours to the west.
Similarly, Port Credit homes to the south are popular because of the amenities, nightlife and proximity to the waterfront but if you live in Mineola, you can still enjoy the best of Port Credit (many Mineola homes are within walking distance to this vibrant community and the lake) but in a more mature, family neighbourhood.
