The shops and restaurants that have sprung up in this area over the last few decades ensure that you never have to wander more than a few blocks to run errands or grab a bite to eat. The area is also well served by all three TTC options – subway, bus and streetcar.

Queen’s Park is a rare, tree-lined gem in the middle of the city’s hustle and bustle. If you live in this area, you’ll no doubt join local residents and office workers who regularly visit the park to eat lunch or read or just for a midday breath of fresh air.

The Royal Ontario Museum, located to north-west of this neighbourhood, is the fifth largest museum in North America and has a rare, dual-mandate of both world cultures and natural history. That means you can visit Ancient Egypt and then hang out with a t-rex all under one roof.

The Museum underwent a major transformation with the addition of the Michael Lee-Chin Crystal, designed by Daniel Libeskind. Years after opening the new extension, its aesthetics and functionality are still hotly debated amongst Torontonians. Love or hate the architecture, no one can deny the forward momentum created by Renaissance ROM which has spurred a reimagining of the role of the ROM within the community.

The ROM has many unexpected and lively events throughout the year including the popular Friday Night Live when the Museum opens its' doors to late night revelry amongst the dinosaurs.
