Best For
First time buyers and young, childless couples looking for an affordable house for sale in Mississauga and an active, waterfront lifestyle.
Overview
Clarkson is sometimes lumped together with Lorne Park due to proximity but the neighbourhoods are very different. Where Lorne Park is an affluent areas with multi-million dollar homes, Clarkson homes offer much great affordability. Its reasonably-priced real estate coupled with a location steps to the Lake and waterfront trails makes Clarkson homes for sale a particularly popular choice amongst young buyers looking to get a foot on the ladder in Mississauga.
Clarkson does have it fair share of industry which is the main reason it hasn’t seen the same level of residential development as its neighbours. The other strike against it is its schools are mediocre but if you buy east of Southdown Road, you’ll have be within Lorne Park’s coveted school district (however real estate prices typically reflect this).
Clarkson is a great choice for commuters with easy access to major routes in and out of the city and the Clarkson GO train which is only a 35 minute ride to Toronto Union Station.
Why We Love Clarkson
You Can Get More For Less
While Clarkson lacks the development and appeal of neighbouring Port Credit, residents of Clarkson are just a short drive or stroll away so you can benefit from all the perks of Port Credit at a much lower property price tag.
Plus, with its proxmity to the Lake, it's just a matter of time before more real estate development and waterfront infrastructure investment is heads Clarkson's way.
