Those who are looking to make a slow move towards the suburbs and away from Toronto. North York has alot of the benefits of living in Midtown, like a thriving and quickly developing Yonge strip. But North York covers a larger space amount of space and so is heavier in strictly residential areas and quieter neighborhoods.

North York is a great neighborhood to find single family homes finished in Greek, Italianate and Neo-Gothic styles that typically have 4 bedrooms or more. There are also a lot of new condo buildings with one or two bedrooms in the York Mills and Willowdale areas close to Yonge street.

Downsview Park in North York is Canada’s first urban national park. The 291 acre parkland is a mix of forest, ponds, trails, gardens, play areas and sports fields. The site is also home to annual Earth Day celebrations and Canada Day fireworks.
